MY family suffers from the same disease. My husband and father in law have the genetic form of PKD. in 2008 I donated MY kidney to my father in law. My husband and I have 3 children who each have a 50′% chance of having the disease as well, but testing them can harm their chances of having sufficient life insurance or medical insurance in the future…so for now we wait, pray and hOPE a cure comes soon. Thank you to Jim Miller and AMA Fightclub for donating to our online Auction supporting the PKD FOUNDATION. here is a link if you are interested…We are the San Diego Chapter…but all the money is going to the same place.
